Abstract: This session will take a look at Windows Azure IaaS and how best to leverage it with BizTalk Server 2013. This session will start with a quick IaaS primer so someone new to Azure IaaS will not miss out. Next we will take a look at how best to use BizTalk Server 2013 in Azure IaaS and the new scenarios that are now available. We will see how simple it can be to script via PowerShell the creation of a fully configured standalone BizTalk Server or even an entire isolated BizTalk Domain. Last we will take a look at some of the basics for administration and supporting your Virtual Machines running in IaaS.

SOA Conference 2009 – Redmond, WA – Breakout Session
Abstract: Dublin is the code name for the new Windows Application Server features inside Windows. In this session we will take a look at how to build a service to leverage the management tools inside Dublin to gain insight into the health of running services. We will show how simple it is to configure Dublin to custom track custom values inside message payloads. Once tested, deployment and migration of the service to a new environment will be demonstrated.

Sweden BizTalk Users Group 2009 – Sweden – Breakout Session
Abstract: Recently I was asked to present at the BizTalk Users Group in Sweden. I had a great time and was welcomed nicely by my Swedish friends. I presented on the new enhancements to the Windows Application Server role code named Dublin. I presented two 35 minutes sessions covering a lot of the same material talked about at the recent TechEd in Los Angeles, CA. The two sessions are now online and available for everyone to watch. The first session is essentially the value proposition of using Dublin and Workflow Services and the second session is a deeper dive into custom tracking and monitoring.

This session focuses on highlighting Advanced Orchestration features and best practices that can be used to shorten development time and increase overall Business Process reusability. Topics covers are: Untyped Messages, Dynamic Transforms, Starting Orchestration, Passing Port Parameters, and Convoys.

TechEd 2005 – Orlando, FL – Instructor Led Lab
Details: I developed and presented two instructor led labs. The first lab was called Sequential Message Processing and the Flat File Disassembler to Map a Large Flat File and the seconds was called InfoPath SP1 and SharePoint 2003 to Design an Effective Tracking System for BizTalk.
